The electrode holder chuck act as a source of support for the electrode, in order to keep an electrical contact suitable to let transmit the current; further they have to ensure a sufficient electric isolation for the welder’s safety.

Thanks to the capacitive welding or the discharge of condensers it’s then possible to weld studs, bushings with internal threads, faston terminals, plain pivots, and pins for the insulation, on steel sheets, stainless steel, aluminium, brass and copper.
The complete welding cycle lasts from 1 to 3 milliseconds. Since welding times are short, this system is mainly indicated for applications on thin sheet metals, since this welding can penetrate only some tenths of a millimetre. Standard application field M3-M8.
